Professional ISM Certifications
There are several certifications offered through ISM that will show your commitment to your profession and showcase your professional knowledge.
Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®)
Designed to lead the profession by emphasizing the major components of supply management.
Endorsed by business leaders and thought-leaders across the globe, the knowledge, skills and abilities represented in the CPSM® reflect the expanded education, skills and experience needed to excel in strategic supply management.
The CPSM is supply management’s most prestigious designation. ISM launched the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) program in May 2008. The National Association’s Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) program sets standards of qualification for supply management professionals and has become the preferred supply chain credential. The CPSM program superseded the C.P.M. designation.
Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity® (CPSD®)
A professional designation for supply management professionals whose responsibilities include supplier diversity.
This designation delivers added value to business leaders and other team leaders who participate in the development of diverse supplier initiatives within the organization. The CPSD® is the only professional designation for professionals whose responsibilities include supplier diversity and is supported by various diversity organizations. This designation gives you the tools to manage a comprehensive supplier diversity program.
The CPSD® communicates the understanding of procurement and the entire supply chain, not just supplier diversity.
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
No longer available for testing and has transitioned into recertification-only status.
You must have already successfully passed all four modules of the C.P.M. in order to apply and achieve the designation. Those already holding the C.P.M. designation may continue to apply for recertification or lifetime recertification.
